Connexion réseau d'eau domestique et réservoir ORISA®
Connecting the domestic water mains and water tanks allows the filtration process of the ORISA® water purifier to be automated, without the need for manual pumping, thanks to water pressure, whether natural (domestic water mains, elevated water tank) or generated by a motorised pump. In addition to the ultrafiltration provided by the ORISA® water purifier, this accessory incorporates either a 20-micron sediment filter or a 5-micron activated carbon filter. This connection can be linked to a domestic water supply, or a water collection and storage tank (water tower, cistern, tank). It is a solution particularly suited to homes where tap water tastes bad, remote homes, self-sufficient communal areas and off-grid sites, wishing to produce drinking water reliably and without electricity.

Details of connections to domestic water networks and reservoirs
ORISA® Base
The ORISA® base allows the water purifier to be positioned in order to connect the water supply and reservoirs.
ORISA® filter holder
The ORISA® filter holder can hold a 20-micron sediment filter or a 5-micron activated carbon filter to filter water. Its wall bracket allows it to be mounted on a wall.
Braided PVC water inlet pipes
The braided PVC water inlet hose allows you to connect your ORISA® water purifier and additional filter to a non-potable water supply or an elevated water tank (pressure resistance - 16 bar). It complies with food standards to prevent any contamination or alteration of the smell or taste of the filtered water.
Funnel adapter and quarter turn
The quarter-turn valves are installed below the ORISA® water purifier with the water mains and tank connections. The funnel adapter allows the system to be assembled.
Choice of filter for water connection and tanks
With the water network and tank connection, you have the option of adding an additional filter:
- 20-micron sediment filter for very turbid water
- 5-micron activated carbon filter to improve the taste and smell of the water and reduce the chemical content.

Connecting domestic water supply networks and ORISA® tanks
Increased filtration capacity, faster and without pumping
The ORISA® water purifier and its connection to domestic water mains and tanks
High-performance filtration, effortlessly
-
Automated filtration
The ORISA® manual pump is a stand-alone system which can be a hindrance when used on a daily basis or for filtering large quantities of water. That is why our connection to domestic water mains and tanks allows water to be filtered without the need for manual pumping. Once installed, water can be drawn into the purifier and filtered using the pressure from the domestic water supply, by raising the level of the water source to be filtered, or by using a motorised pump.
-
Enhanced water purity
When connected to domestic water mains and storage tanks, you benefit from the ultrafiltration performance of the ORISA® water purifier, supplemented by your choice of:
- a 20-micron sediment filter, for use with very turbid water containing high levels of suspended solids and impurities such as sand, silt, rust and other suspended particles and residues, down to 20 microns;
- a 5-micron activated carbon filter for water with a strong chlorine taste or odour.
This allows you to remove microbiological contamination, unpleasant odours and bad tastes from the water to be filtered.
-
Increased and automated filtered water flow
If you need to filter large volumes of water – for example, if you are not connected to the mains water supply or frequently reuse water stored in a large tank – the domestic water supply and tank connection system allows you to filter larger volumes of water thanks to its automated filtration, without having to submerge the ORISA® purifier in the water.
-
Water filtration that adapts to different water storage facilities
The ORISA® domestic water supply and tank connection is compatible with various types of equipment (domestic water supply, rainwater harvesting system, storage tank, cistern).
To avoid having to pump water using your ORISA® purifier, there must be sufficient water pressure. This can be achieved by connecting to the domestic water supply, raising the water source, or using a motorised pump.
Some connections require the addition of a safety device to limit overpressure (water hammer) and safeguard the installation if the pump’s power or the elevation of the water source creates a pressure exceeding 3 bar. A pressure-reducing sleeve is supplied and recommended for pressures between 2 and 3 bar. If the pressure exceeds 3 bar, a pressure reducer is essential to ensure the safety of the installation.
Filtered water in the blink of an eye!
Turn on the tap and let ORISA® do the work! No more need to pump up the water pressure, freeing you from this chore.
Questions fréquentes
How do I maintain my 20-micron sediment filter?
The 20-micron sediment filter is washable and reusable. To maintain it, simply rinse it with clean water and, if necessary, gently scrub the surface with the ORISA® soft brush to remove any accumulated particles. Regular cleaning helps to maintain its performance and extend its service life.
How often should I change my activated carbon filter?
We recommend replacing your activated carbon filter every 6 months to maintain optimum filtration performance.
Is the ORISA® pressure reducer mandatory?
No, a pressure reducer is not mandatory. Its use is recommended depending on your installation.
- In the case of connection to a non-potable water network, a pressure reducer is recommended for any water pressure above 3 bar.
- In the case of connection to a water tank with an elevation of more than 30 metres, the pressure reducer will protect the installation from overpressure phenomena such as water hammer.
- When connecting to a low water source, or even an underground source with water drawn up by a motorised pump, the pressure reducer will protect your installation from overpressure in the pump's electrical circuit.
