When you're travelling the question of water comes up every day. Water from the tank, service areas, campsite taps or even a stream: how can you be sure it's safe to drink? Although apparently clear, water can contain pathogenic micro-organisms (bacteria, viruses, protozoa) or invisible chemical pollutants (pesticides, heavy metals, drug residues, chlorine). Drinking this unfiltered water means taking a risk to your health.

ORISA® Nomad: a 3-in-1 solution for mobile water filtration

Based on the expertise of Fonto de vivo, a French company committed to providing access to drinking water throughout the world, the ORISA® Nomad pack combines the ORISA® water purifier, already a firm favourite with travellers and humanitarian aid workers, with a tap connection specially designed for converted vehicles, giving you the benefit of a 3-in-1 system that adapts to every situation:

  • When out and about outside the vehicle, the ORISA® purifier operates independently, without electricity, using a simple bucket or other container.
  • In remote pre-filtration mode, you use an external pre-filter to pump water from a source or tank.
  • For fixed use on board, the system connects to your vehicle's tap via a simple assembly to filter the water directly from the tank.

All with a single piece of equipment that you can easily dismantle and transport. Genuine freedom of use, without compromising on quality.

High-performance filtration technology

ORISA® combines two benchmark filtration technologies in a compact, robust format, made in France.

The ORISA® ultrafiltration membrane (0.01 micron) acts as a mechanical barrier that retains up to 99.999999% of microorganism contamination (bacteria, viruses, protozoa, sediments, cysts and microplastics). With LOG 8 performance on bacteria and LOG 5 on viruses (99.999% efficiency), it guarantees microbiologically safe water, even from dubious sources.

to reduce membrane clogging and extend its life.

In addition, the activated carbon filter, located in the on-board tap connection, improves the taste and odour of the water, while significantly reducing the presence of chlorine, heavy metals (zinc, manganese) and chemical products.

The result is water that is both healthy and pleasant to drink, wherever it comes from.

Each ultrafiltration membrane has a capacity of 20,000 litres, or more than 13,000 1.5-litre bottles.

And when you change vehicles, you can uninstall your equipment and transfer it to your new travel companion. And that's a real plus, compared with other non-mobile systems.

The ORISA® Nomad pack is designed to be accessible to everyone. It can be fitted in around 1 hour, without any special tools, thanks to a step-by-step video tutorial and detailed instructions. It includes all the components you need for safe installation: base, filter holder, adapters, quick connectors, filters, fittings, hoses, etc.

The system is entirely passive, so it works without electricity - an essential advantage when energy autonomy is limited on board. So you can use your water with confidence, even in the most isolated situations.
