Contents of the ORISA® Nomad Pack

ORISA® water purifier

The ORISA® water purifier treats fresh water by filtering out all microbiological contamination.

ORISA® base

The ORISA® base is used to attach the water purifier, making it easy to connect to the tap in the converted vehicle.

ORISA® filter holder

The ORISA® filter holder is designed to hold an activated carbon filter to filter the water coming from the tank of your converted vehicle. Its wall bracket makes it easy to fix to a wall.

Silicone and braided PVC water inlet hoses

The silicone water inlet hose connects your ORISA® water purifier to the tap on your converted vehicle, enabling you to assemble your remote pre-filter.

The braided PVC hose is fixed to the water distribution system of your converted vehicle.

ORISA® wall bracket

The ORISA® wall bracket allows you to attach your water purifier when it is put away after use.

Quick connector and multi-tap adapter

The quick connector and multi-faucet adapter make it easy to connect the ORISA® water purifier to the tap in your converted vehicle.

Funnel and quarter-turn adapters

The funnel adapter is used to assemble the remote pre-filtration.

The quarter-turns are fitted under the ORISA® water purifier, either for connection to the tap in the converted vehicle or for remote pre-filtration.

2 ORISA® activated carbon filters

ORISA® activated carbon filters remove chlorine, iron, zinc and manganese dissolved in water, while improving its taste and odour.

Teflon, clamps, caps, corrugated fittings and instructions

The parts needed to assemble the tap connection on the converted vehicle are included. The instructions, accompanied by the video tutorial, guide you step-by-step through installing the ORISA® tap connection on your converted vehicle.

  • 0.01 micron ultrafiltration membrane

The ORISA® ultrafiltration membrane eliminates sediments, microplastics and pathogenic micro-organisms through mechanical filtration. The membrane pores are up to 5000 times finer than a human hair.

Performance: LOG 5 for viruses, LOG 8 for bacteria.

  • Active carbon filters

ORISA® activated carbon filters effectively adsorb the following elements: chlorine, iron, zinc and manganese, and work efficiently to improve the taste and odour of water. Their microporous structure provides in-depth purification for healthier, more pleasant drinking water.

  • A 3-in-1 product

The ORISA® Nomad pack offers 3 different uses:

    - ORISA® + tap connection in a converted vehicle: automated filtration in a vehicle

    - ORISA® + remote pre-filtration: filtration at source by manual pumping

    - ORISA® alone: manual pumping into a bucket

  • An ecological approach

The ORISA® Nomad pack makes it possible to be self-sufficient in water when out and about, so you no longer need to store plastic bottles of water in your vehicle.

MAINTENANCE

Changing the ORISA® membrane and activated carbon filter

First membrane replacement

To change the ORISA® ultrafiltration membrane for the first time, you will need the ultrafiltration membrane maintenance kit, consisting of a new membrane, the appropriate tools and the coding support to help you dismantle and reassemble the purifier.

Changing the ORISA® ultrafiltration membrane

Each ORISA® ultrafiltration membrane can filter up to 20,000 litres of water. This estimate may vary depending on the frequency of use, the frequency of backwashing and the turbidity of the water to be filtered.

If you notice a reduction in the flow of water after carrying out maintenance operations (backwashing and disinfectant cleaning), without seeing any significant improvement, you can replace the ultrafiltration membrane in your water purifier.

In addition, if you carry out a safety test, also known as a ‘bubble test’, which shows that the ORISA® ultrafiltration membrane is not intact, you should replace the ultrafiltration membrane.

Replacing activated carbon filters

ORISA® activated carbon filters have a service life of around 6 months each.

Frequently Asked Questions.

How often should I change my activated carbon filter?

We recommend replacing your activated carbon filter every 6 months to maintain optimum filtration performance.

When should I replace the membrane in my ORISA® water purifier?

There are two indicators to help you decide whether or not to replace the ORISA® membrane.

When you notice a reduction in the flow of water, usually between 2 to 3L/min depending on the quality of water to be filtered, and if cleaning the pre-filter and backwashing does not restore the flow, you may want to consider replacing the membrane.

After carrying out a safety test, you will know whether or not the ultrafiltration membrane is still functional. If it is not, you can replace it by purchasing an ORISA® ultrafiltration membrane maintenance kit (for the first replacement) or a single ORISA® ultrafiltration membrane (from the second replacement).
